CALL FOR PAPERS

We invite proposals for papers from members of the ANZSCoS and from others who are interested in Spinal Cord injuries.

We encourage proposals that bring together a panel of papers on a common theme.

Standard papers will be of 15 minutes’ duration, with 5 minutes’ discussion. Most sessions will run for 90 minutes.
 

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
• Abstracts can be submitted for Oral or Poster presentation.
• To be received no later than 14 August 2009.
• Abstracts that do not comply with the stated requirements will not be considered.
• Presenters will be required to register for at least one day of the conference.
 

PRESENTATION FORMAT
Oral Papers:
Papers will be 15 minutes in length, with 5 minutes for discussion.  Papers with a common theme will be grouped in plenary sessions.
Posters:
Posters will be available for viewing throughout the conference days.  A two minute presentation after each plenary session will be given to every poster accepted by the committee.  Please ensure presentations have no more than 2 slides per poster.
 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
Abstracts are required for all presentations.  Preferred method of receipt for abstracts is by electronic submission, via email.  Please submit a Microsoft Word Document attached to your email and addressed to cccabstracts@gmail.com.  Please ensure that ANZSCoS 2009 appears in the subject line of your email message.
 

Please clearly identify the theme for which your abstract is being submitted.
 

The Author/Presenter must show initials and surname only. No titles, degrees, awards or details of institution are to be shown.
 

Required abstract format.
• A title in CAPITAL LETTERS.
• A statement of the problem or issue.
• A description of the project undertaken and results/outcomes or main points of topic.
• Implications for education, research, policy and/or practice.
 

The abstract should not exceed one A4 page and must be no more that 250 words.  Please use 11pt Arial font and bold the title.  No reference to authors or institution should be included within the text.
 

Abbreviations should only be used for common terms.  For uncommon terms, the abbreviation should be given in brackets after the full use of the word.
 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESENTERS
Full instructions for presenters will be forwarded on acceptance of the abstract.  Notification of acceptance will be sent by 5 September 2009.
